Oh me, oh my...
Little Lucy has learned a new sound today "VLA VLA VLA VLA VLA." She has been doing it all day, it is quite loud and a bit incessant. So cute, right? Well, I took the girls to Walmart and Costco and I'm somewhat pooped. Audrey fell right asleep when we got home, which is what I expected (and planned) both girls would do. Yet, little Lucy with her VLA VLA VLAing (and some random sobs) won't fall asleep, oh and she woke up poor Audrey. I blame teething and maybe too much grocery shopping (who knows). I have a pounding headache and just want some peace and quiet. Please, oh please little Lucy go to sleep. Oh me, oh my...I need a nap. What do you women do when you're ACTUALLY really sick (I'm just being a whiner) and kids are being, ummm, so cute?

YES! I want to make them! Don't they look good? Did you like the empanadas?
NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE...but I was joking about this with my friend a little while ago when Nick was sick. He stayed home a few days and she was saying that when the mom gets sick, life goes on but when the dad gets sick, his world stops. She was saying when she was sick, she still fed her husband and the kids, took the kids where they needed to go, etc. etc. but when he got sick, he just laid in bed all day. So sorry to say friend, but unless you're in the hospital, you just do everything with a headache!
Some days are harder and longer than others. Just let your hubby know you might need some extra help and take some Tylenol. It is hard being the one in charge when you feel so yucky! I am guessing that we should try and get together next week when you are feeling better. Call me and get well soon.

Hey Sara- I don't know your friend Amber who commented, but she is right on the money! When Daddy is sick, he stays in bed, does whatever he likes. When Mommy is sick . . . so what? Life goes on! I think the only thing I do differently is I will let the boys watch as much TV as they want- ANYTHING that helps, do it!
If Abby was fed and changed, I used to put her in bed, shut the door, go outside (or somewhere quiet) and breathe (and usually cry). Screaming in a pillow in the other room works too.
