An attempt at a family picture

The girls love balloons

They also love Elmo and Abby dolls from Nana Gail

We also blessed Sage on Sunday, but all of those pictures are on German's laptop, so I will try to post some later. The girl's had their two year checkup and Lucy is 36 inches tall and weighs 33.8 pounds. Audrey is 36 1/2 inches tall and weighs 33.4 pounds. We love our big girls...Sage has an appointment on Thursday and I think she is weighing about 17 pounds now!

LUCY FLOR! (this is what she hears when she's in trouble)

Some of you may have already seen this picture on German's facebook page, but I have to post it on here because I LOVE IT!!! Lucy is only a minute older than Audrey, but she is already proving to have traits of the oldest child. She is such a loving little girl! She is keenly aware of other people's feelings and loves to help out. I was emptying the dishwasher the other day and she was watching me pull out the silverware, I then looked down to see her smiling face hand me a clean spoon. It took longer to finish, but it was nice to not have to lean down over and over again. She pulled out everything one by one and handed it to me, while I put stuff away.

She always has to know where Audrey is and when she can't see her she'll look up at me and ask "Where's Audy?" Yesterday she asked me where Audrey was and I said "I don't know" to which she replied, "Oh, you don know..." and she went to look for her. She has a love/hate relationship with Sage--she also asks me "where's da baby?" One minute she'll be saying "oh baby oh baby" while smothering her with kisses then the next she'll try to step on her. She loves to dance and laugh. She is also sneaky and knows when she is being naughty. She'll hit me or pull on the blinds or do something then she'll just give me this look like "Yeah, that's right! What are you going to do about it?" It drives me nuts and is so cute at the same time. She is also mastering the art of a fake smile, it cracks me up, someday I'll get a picture of it.

Today Audrey was freaking out because she wanted to take a bath, but she had to finish eating first (and I was bathing Sage). I was saying (in a quiet loving manner-haha) "no Audrey", "calm down Audrey", "finish eating your food Audrey." Which of course just made her scream even louder and have more of a fit--then out of the blue Lucy looks over at her and says "no Audrey no!" and Lucy went right back to eating her food. It was hilarious! I love my Lucyloo!

It is amazing how everyday she seems to learn how to say new words. Here are a few that I can think of right now...mommy, daddy, Audy, baby, purple, pink, bu (blue), outside, agua, shoes, elmo, dog, bear, meow, fish, eye, nose, toes, bath, no, pees (please), night night, bee (blankie), where's da ____?, color, Cars (her fav movie), dough, comer (eat), snack, bite, poon, muua (kiss)...

Ghetto girls...

This is how we roll in the ghettoooo...Our neighborhood is not the greatest, it's not bad or unsafe by any means, but let's just say when the girls are dressed like this they fit right in!
The girls LOVE to play outside and we have a great fenced backyard, but it has been so hot that I haven't let them out much--after 5 minutes they'd get beet-red and so sweaty--not to mention the scary insects and biting ants that roam back there. It is finally starting to cool down (at 7am it is in the 70s) and I had the pest control guy come spray outside, so I've let them play more. They are in hog heaven, gosh I love those piggy faces!

I want a new camera...

Our first camera was a gift given to us six years ago and it takes OK pictures, but it runs on AA batteries, not very convenient. And the other camera we bought three years ago before our trip to Argentina because it was small and had video clip ability, but it does not take very good pictures. Oh, and I also spilled water on it, so the battery only lasts a few hours. I'm tired of grabbing a camera to take a quick shot only to find it out of juice. Or taking it with me and worrying about how long it will last (plus the pics are mediocre). So, please recommend a great camera to me, preferable less than $600. THANKS!

whenever I can tidbit...

I started another post last week and never finished it, but this is what I wrote...

I'm not sure when I'll be going to post every Tuesday again, but for now I'll post whenever I can. German leaves for school around 8am comes home for dinner around 5:30pm and goes back to school or studies in his office from 7pm until 11pm or later. Saturdays he usually has to go for most of the day as well. I miss him lots, but I'm finally feeling like I can handle all three girls by myself. I never realized how much he did around the house until now, he's such an awesome hubbs. I am feeling much better now that Sage has been sleeping 10+ hours at night since Thursday. She's awesome! She weighs 15 pounds and can wear some 6-12 month onsies! She's super smiley and calm and I love her lots! The girls are learning sooo much, especially in the talking department. I feel so guilty sometimes that I don't have much time to sit with them individually to play and teach them, but I guess eventually they'll learn everything they need to know, right?

We first went to the splash pad with my friend Darlene and her girls, but of course I forgot my camera. So, when Kiersta and Errson came up to visit we went again and I got some pics. It is always great (and a little exhausting) to get out of the house and the girls love little Errson, he was quite the romantic. I think the girls are going to be competing for his attention their whole lives. He is such a sweetie!

I stole this last pic from Kiersta's blog...check out more pics here!

September 11th

Eight years ago today, I woke up in my apartment in San Diego listening in shock to my roommates tell me what was happening. We watched TV eyes wide making periodic gasps as we watched the terrifying images. I remember feeling alot of fear. I went to work, but after 30 minutes we were all sent home. I was so glad and I drove straight to see German. We had been engaged for only three months and loved spending every waking moment together (and still do). I remember watching the news cuddled up next to him and feeling very grateful I had him to love. I still feel that way and today I'm grateful to have three more to love.

My thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones on 9/11. I hope this smile brightens your day!

Tuesday tri-girly tidbit

Sooo, I'm really tired, but I didn't want another Tuesday to go by w/o posting anything. These last two weeks have been pretty crazy, but things are finally starting to normalize. Some highlights include:
1-An evacuation order because of some chemical fire at a plant nearby--this led to us loading up the car and driving to Houston to stay a night with my friend Kiersta...
2-A neighbor boy started a fire on his bed and burned down half their duplex--this has led to alot of loud construction next door...
3-100+ degree humid weather--this has made me never want to go outside...
4-An awful case of mastitis--causing two days of an achy feverish very cranky me...
5-Ants, spiders, various bugs and even a gecko in my house--leading me to jump and squeal (I don't mind these things when they are outside, but they do NOT belong in my home!)

Most importantly, the girls are all doing well, I am feeling better and German is enjoying school (so far). Here are a few pics and then I am off to bed.

Sage in the tub

Sage ready for church

A family pic taken by Darlene (my friend, Erin, gave the girls the cute shirts--the twins' shirts say 'I'm the big sister!' and then Sage's says 'I'm the little sister!' So cute! Thanks Erin!

Nona Betty saying goodbye, we hope she comes again soon!

This video was actually taken back in June, but I am just downloading them. My latina girls love to dance!

The girls love bubbles...thanks Kiersta for the bubble blower and everything else you did!

Tuesday tri-girl tidbit

We made it to Texas and we are still alive. Tomorrow German's mom heads home and we will be left alone for the first time in a month to care for our girls. We are already asking our moms when they can come back and visit and we hope it is soon. I'm a bit overwhelmed (okay totally freaked out) thinking of next week when I will be completely alone with the three girlybutts all day while German is in school. Please remember me in your prayers ;)

The ward here has been great, they've helped us move in and brought us meals. I am so happy that my friend Darlene lives close by, she rocks! Also my friend Kiersta only lives an hour and half away and she going to come visit soon and she rocks as well.

Can I just let you all know how much I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I have had so many prayers answered by friends and people who I'm sure were prompted to head my way or give me a call. I am so grateful and feel so blessed...I can literally feel the Lord giving me the strength and patience I need. I know God lives and I know Jesus is our loving Christ. Isn't this life great? A bit of a crazy ride sometimes, but overall I think it is pretty great!

Tuesday tri-girly tidbit

So, the twins were born on a Tuesday and I guess Sage wanted to follow suit. German posted last week about our little giant, but he failed to post details. Luckily, I did not have to deliver an almost 11 pound baby naturally. I really wanted to and tried everything under the sun to self-induce (except castor oil--too scary), but nothing worked. I went to get checked last Monday and she was still very high and zero cervix dilation.

I am a little sad that I will never experience a natural childbirth or know what a contraction feels like, but it just wasn't in the stars for me. I am recovering well from the C-section, although for some reason I had a panic attack just before they started cutting me and that was NOT fun. Poor German was so worried about me and helped me get through it. Can I just tell you all how much a freakin' love my husband?!?! He has been taking care of me and the girls, packing up our place to move AND trying to do some pre-req coursework that needs to be completed before orientation. He is so amazing!

Anyway, onto our new baby girl...we named her Sage Crystal Galaso and she is an angel. As German said she was 10 pounds 11 ounces and was 21 3/4 inches long. She is an excellent eater and has made nursing a breeze. She loves to sleep and hasn't cried yet when her sisters have taken a swift swat at her. The twins have had a hard time adjusting to all the changes going on and we hope they forgive us someday for putting them through so much lately. German's mom has been here helping for a couple weeks and now my mom is here. They have been so great and we would not have survived without the help. THANK YOU! We will all be flying to Texas on Monday and then hopefully we can get back into some routine again. Any advice is appreciated.

Sage has been so therapeutic for me. She is such a mellow baby and has had such a calming effect on me during the stress of moving and dealing with the girls tantrums lately. We are so glad she is here (and that I am not prego anymore)!
