Tuesday twin tidbit

How big will she be??? I had a doctor's appt today and mom and baby are doing fine (thanks Liz for watching the girls). I am growing like crazy and I am starting to get worried about the size of this baby girl. I am planning on doing a VBAC, but I am scared to deliver a 10 pounder. I weighed 10.8 lbs at birth and German was 9.4 lbs. Also our siblings were all above 8 pounds and one of German's brothers weighed 11 pounds. My sister's baby was 8.6 lbs, another cousin's was 9.2 lbs and my cousin's wife delivered a 10.7 lbs baby in Feb (wow Lisa!!!).

(My little neice Maddie moo)

So, it's almost a guarantee that this baby will be at least 8 pounds, but I pray she'll be under 10. What do you all think? Any of you come from families with big babies, but still happen to deliver smaller babies??? I've put a poll on our blog for fun.

There is hope out there. My mom had 7 babies... 1-8 pounder, 5-9 pounders, and 1-10 pounder. Craig and his brothers all weighed in the 7 to 8 pound range so I thought I was destined to have a ginormous baby come explode out of me. So when Justin showed up 8 days over due at 6 lbs 8 oz it was a little shocking. So there is hope but even your twins were big so I'm thinking the hope is a little slim. Good luck!

You can do it! Even though Dory was the biggest, her delivery went the smoothest. It's impossible to predict these babies!

Oh, and Maddie is so dang cute.

I hear it's not how fat they are, but how big their heads are. As I grow larger and larger than I've ever been before I keep reminding myself of that. Good luck with the VBAC! My friend just had one last week and it went really well.

My Sisters babies get bigger with each one. Hers started out at 7lb and have gone up a pound. she is now on # 4 due the 12th and they may induce her next week since the baby is already weighing around 8.
With my babies...I had one preemie @ 5 lbs and one full term @ 8 lbs. (both C/S) Huge difference for me. Good luck with the delivery I have a cousin that had a VBAC and she did great!
