Tuesday twin tidbit

Sorry I missed posting yesterday. I did think about it during the day, but never got around to actually doing it. My time at the computer has been spent searching for a place to live in Texas. Thanks for all the advice and suggestions about moving with kids. Planning this move is quite overwhelming. We thought about me going with the girls a few weeks earlier before the baby comes, but it just isn't going to work. And taking a 2-3 week old baby on a plane doesn't sound like a good idea either. So, the plan for now is for all five of us to drive together and have someone else drive the moving truck for us. It will take ALOT longer, but we'll just call it 'quality family time' since dad will be very busy soon and hardly ever home.

Anyway, the girls are starting to fight more. Pushing and hitting and squealing have been more abundant. Which leads me to say 'stop it', 'no' and 'give it back' much more often as well. I think the squeals are the worst part though...good thing I love these little monsters! This poor little baby is in for quite an adventure.

The next three months are going to be spent visiting family and friends and saying goodbye to Utah. There are alot of things I'll miss about Utah, especially the mountains, but I am really looking forward to having a winter with no snow. I've dealt with it for almost 20 years and I need a break!

Last weekend we went out to dinner with our friends from BYU that we haven't seen in awhile at this great middleastern restaurant called Mazza. It was delicious food and so great to see them. They opened a gelato cafe a couple of years ago in Provo called Maestro's and I sooo wish we lived closer because I LOVE LOVE LOVE gelato! They make it homemade and have so many great flavors. If you haven't tried it--you should go, it's right next to Los Hermanos. Lilla is due with their first baby about three weeks after me and she looks so cute! She doesn't want to find out the sex, so it is going to be a fun surprise for them. We are definitely going to get together again before we move!
(me at 29 weeks and Lilla at 26 weeks)

you both are adorable! I am so excited for Lilla, yay! Traveling with children in any capacity isn't fun. we had to do the airplane ride with charlotte at two weeks to NY to move because I WASN'T going to drive that far, but you should survive to Texas, you have my sympathies, hope you enjoy the snowless winters! Good luck with all the newness, baby, job, location, change can be lots of fun.

Traveling with little ones is TOUGH, but I know from experience that it can be done. We moved 1 week after Brian was born, and two weeks before Clayton was born. I'm not sure which was worse. With Brian, I got to keep my doctor the whole time. With Clayton, I didn't have to worry about taking care of an infant during the actual move.

Tough either way. But definitely doable. Oh, and you guys will LOVE Texas! It is awesome here. I hope we'll get to see you before we leave!

Do you need help packing? I want to see you before you leave; I know I'll have to book our play date early as things can get pretty hectic with moving!

Hey! I am soooo happy for all the exciting things going on in your family. Texas will be fun and I'm so happy for German! I have Soooo much experience moving with kids/being preggo/moving with a newborn. We'll have to chat one of these days, although it sounds like you've got it figured out! Love ya!

Fun to read up on your life. Sounds like all is still going well. Good luck with moving and your new adventure.

P.S. There are some other great gelatos around, well I haven't been to that one you mentioned, so maybe they aren't as great but there is Sette Bello in SLC and some gelato places in select Harmon's and Smith's grocery stores.

You look like a babe in this pic. I'm so excited for your move to TX. I'm sure you will love it. We're moving in the next 3 weeks, we're just not sure where.

Cute belly pic! Congrats on going to TX! That is really exciting for you! All the wives I have talked to who have husbands in a MBA program are much happier than the law school ones, haha. My sister and law and her family did grad school at TX A and M a couple years ago. If u would like I could give u her email and maybe she can give u some tips on good places to live. Let me know.

Why is everyone moving to Texas--hurricanes, snakes and Bushes. Why not Montana? Sigh. Good luck with the move even if it's not to good 'ol Missoula.

Oh, random tid-bit. The Texas thug saying "Don't mess with Texas" was actually just an older anti-litter campaign slogan. Makes me feel better about Texans in general:)
