I cannot fathom how anyone can consider terminating a pregnancy after seeing a heartbeat. It blows my mind that abortion is legal in this country before 12 weeks. In some European countries it's legal up to 22 weeks--crazy! Just because it may not be viable, does not mean it isn't a living and valuable being. What is wrong with people??? I will never understand the whole women have the right to choose argument--they made a choice to conceive. That's it. That was their choice and sometimes there are consequences. I know I am ranting here, but I am sooo pro-life. Here's my bit of controversy, I would even go so far to always advocate adoption over abortion. Though I understand the whole thing about when women didn't have the choice (i.e. rape/incest), but choosing to terminate a life is serious stuff. Having the child and giving it up for adoption could turn a very terrible event into something beautiful and could bless so many lives for good.
Anyway, sorry about my tangent, it's just my opinion and well this is my blog! :) I already love our little peanut and I can't wait to reunite him/her with the girls.

Sara, I am glad you got to see the little? Boy or Girl? We have to wait for that news still:) and Hey I agree with you...and good for you for saying it!!!!Love ya, Kiersta
I second your opinion. adoption is such a better option. I can see not wanting to raise a child conceived in rape but that's when you give him/her up for adoption. Its okay you can rant among friends. We're so excited for you, I hope things continue to go well.
I am so with you on this! We had started the adoption process after years of not being able to conceive. If it wasn't for birth mothers who want to keep their pregnancy many wouldn't be able to have there dreams come true to have a family.
(Shortly after having our home study (at BYU) we found out we were pregnant..It was a great graduation present for Ron)
Ohh and congrats on your little peanut! (Emma was always (and still is) our Walnut)
I can't wait to see your peanut and find out if it's a boy or girl! How wonderful.
And amen to everything you said! It breaks my heart.
You said it just right! Congratulations on your little peanut and hope you are doing well!
Amen to the abortion thing, Sarah!! It makes me sick sometimes when I read the news about what goes on in some states. Abortion is a way to teach young girls and boys that there are no consequences to their actions. It is a selfish, selfish thing. I've had a debate or two about abortion with some friends up here in WA.
I totally hear you, Sara. When we were driving home from the hospital after I gave birth to Scout, we drove by an abortion clinic where there were protestors. I totally lost it...with the all the hormones of just giving birth and seeing my beautiful newborn daughter, I couldn't image someone terminating a pregnancy. It still makes me very emotional. On a happier note, congrats on a healthy heartbeat!
